Ky-Mani was born on February 26, 1976, at Falmouth Jamaica. He is one the richest and most famous Reggae singers. He appeared in the iconic film Shottas with another famous singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his debut album like Father Like Son. This was followed by a number of singles such as Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae charts.
